Just thought I'd share pics of my new tripod setup. I've used Manfrotto's and Votex tripods before but I wanted to try something new to run my terrapin and my spotter from one tripod. I found this setup from tactical tripod and it just showed up today.

Initial impressions are it is very high quality and yet very light. The price seems very reasonable and I think it's a great solution for those who would (like me) want multiple heads on their durable, lightweight, versitle tripod. A small company out of Washington makes them and after speaking with them I believe they're good people. I'm not trying to sell anything here but I know some are going to ask so here's the website.

Looks very cool how big is the case it breaks down into. Is it very hard to setup in the field .. or is it pretty quick?

Re: New Tactical Tripod for Vectronix and Spotter

The case is very nice and slightly longer than the base itself folded. It takes about 45-60 seconds to set up in the feild as everything has large knobs to attach the pieces together.

Whoever pisses Davide off might be in trouble. He always has the 007 chit. I picture retinal scan safes and pressure sensitive floors in the gun room.

eh eh..no, you can find this in Pinco Palla's house....he has an emergency entry for his bunker... and the main entry door is not visible from outside........ may be everything is also trapped with ...

Re: New Tactical Tripod for Vectronix and Spotter

I use to mount my PLRF10C on my SPOTTER60 side Picatinny rail , it's coaxial , with the same FOV , and I have both of them at the same height

Nice little setup. I'll have to keep that one in mind.
Bought the little RV Sniper Pod right before they were discontinued, and been very happy with it as a small light unit when combined with my MK4 spotter.

Haven't tried dual mounting on it, as I do that with the full size RV with outrigger.

I have the MODSPOT rail which allows PVS-14 or PVS-22 use with the MK4 Spotter (P4F reticle, for NV work).
