New to me 40x!!!

So I finally decided to buy a 40x rimfire, and after selling a few rimfires, it arrived.

I bought it with no sights, but it came with mounting blocks for peep sights. It also has a really sweet Canjar trigger that has a 40-2 on the trigger assembly.

I bought this with the intention of putting it in a Pharr stock but the barrel is too heavy.


Also can the barrel be re-contoured to a smaller diameter?

and lastly the receiver holes for scope mounts are not aligned properly, how can this be fixed?

From the pic, it looks like they did a pretty good job splicing the bottom piece onto the original buttstock. No idea on what it's worth, sorry.
