So my trust is finalized and to celebrate I figured I'd get a 308 can (and start the paperwork for my sbrs). Right off the bat I really liked the aac 762 sd and sdn-6. Then I read all about the 51T mounts and now I'm having 2nd thoughts (aac's $200 credit is a nice thing too). So after days upon days of looking at all other supressor out there, I'm lost.

Since this is my first can I'd prefer it to work with my 308 (obviously) but as well as my soon to be sbrs. The "issue" I run into is my 308 is my precision rifle and I really don't want to lose much in the POI shift. A normal session for me is a good 100 rounds between warm up and practice. As far as my 223 ars, they would be just normal practice drills and what not but 500+ rounds wouldn't be unheard of.

Ideally I'd like to start off with a 308 can I can put on my 223s, a 45 can I can put on my 45 and 9mm and a 22 can I can swap on all the 22s. I love the brake I have on my rifle now (jp bennie cooly) but if I had to switch brakes I wouldn't be to upset. But at the same time I wouldn't care if I just unscrewed the brake and threaded on the supressor. I have a realistic budget of around 800-900 for a can. Since the 308 is a bench gun that already weights 14.5 lbs, w/ scope and loaded 20 rnd mag, weight isn't a huge concern. Besides the 2 aac's I've mentioned, I'm liking the yhm phantom ti. The thunderbeast cans look great but r priced just outside my price range. Any help in picking an all around can for the 308 would be much appreciated.

Disclaimer: I don't own, nor ever shot, a SilencerCo Saker 7.62, but:

Based on your parameters, goto SilencerShop.com, and look at the SilencerCo Saker 7.62.
Good for up-to 300WinMag, can be used full-auto, and apparently does 5.56 very well. Can use 51T brakes better than AAC. SilencerShop will include a mount, so, from what I've read, get the Trifecta MAAD mount and flash hider (gets rid of the tuning fork effect that other flash hiders give).

From personal experience, a titanium suppressor gets HOT, Quick. Have an oven mitt ready after a few shots. For your precision rig, this can cause mirage depending on your scope setup. No experience with Inconel 718...

And Never shoot 22LR through a sealed (non user-serviceable) suppressor. You have a good plan to eventually get a dedicated 22 can.

My two-cents, for free.

I second the saker 7.62...it's probably the best multi-cal rifle can on the market. The fact that you can use a .308 endcap for your rifle then switch over to a .223 endcap for the your SBR's to maximize effectiveness pretty much says it all. That and the mounts and mounting system are infinitely better than AAC's.

First, thank you for the replies. I never looked at the saker (funny because I'm sold on the osprey for my pistol can). After reading some reviews and watching some videos, I remembered at this past shot show how I thought this suppressor was the best I saw, specially mount wise. Now my only question is do I go with the aac mount (prefer the trifecta since it's like my JP) or stick with their mount.

Thanks for the replies, I think I'm sold on the saker.

If you're "sold" on the Osprey, compare it to the Octane. The only thing you lose is the lower top/sightline. You gain user serviceability (waaaaaaaay easy to disassemble, even if you shoot 22LR through it), better first-round pop (if memory serves reading a million reviews), and the baffles are SS, so you have ALOT of options to get them clean, if necessary. Still has a bunch of mount and piston options.

While you're looking at the Octane, gander at the Spectre II.

(No, I don't work for SWR/SilencerCo, but I do like their designs)
