I have had this Anschutz 17LP for a few years now. I have always disliked the stock because of the feel and looks and that I can't attach a bipod without permanent modification. This Anschutz is based on their Match 64 action and is chambered in 17 HMR or 22 Mag, this one is 17 HMR. Barrel is 12". In this photo I have the Kahles on for testing amm.
DVOR had a great sale over the holiday and I picked up this MDT LSS chassis for $208 shipped. It's for a right hand rifle so I will have to mill out a bit for bolt clearance. Bolt catch had to be removed but I can still access the lever for bolt removal. Safety works as normal. This will also fit the Anschutz Exemplar as it has the same Match 64 action.
I will eventually swap out the grip for the one on my Anschutz 1710 as it has the shelf on the grip, which would be fantastic for a stable rest.
Showing access to the bolt release lever.
I knew that limbsaver gizmo would come in handy for something. Actually fits really good and doesn't look too bad to my eyes.
Looking forward to seeing what this can do with a good stable rest. Past performance wasn't very impressive. Anyway, just thought I would post a new project for your entertainment and viewing pleasure.
