I am new to the long range and target shooting. I have a friend that likes to shoot and I have kinda got into lately, so here goes. I found a XR 100 rangemaster in .22-250 for a prety good deal, but I think that I am going to get one of the new Remington 700 SPS Varmints in .308. Anybody thank this is a bad choice? I think I have saw more upgrades to the 700 and I have always shoot a 700 deer hunting for the past 20 years and have never had a problem. what is somethings that i can do to the gun right out of the box to tighten up the groups. If they any adjustment tricks or little stuff that i can do myself. I know how to mess with them a little. Do you think this would be a good starter gun. What do the badger bolt knobs do and are they really helpful after the first shot. Is there anyway to make the bolt more smooth, is the xmark pro adjustable trigger a good one or do I need to replace it, if so what with. Any information would he a really big help, thanks,
