Rifle Scopes NF 5.5-22 vs 2.5-10

I currently run a 5.5-22-50 on my ruger 10/22 trainer. It's great from 50 yards and on. In close I find the reticle gets blurry and hard to see. I have to admit its a bit over kill for my 22, but I had a spare scope so I have been using it. My question is, does the 2.5-10 have a closer parallax setting than the 5.5-22. I'd like to be able to use it from 20 yards and out for plinking as well.
