I'll be ordering an F1 with the H58 ret. and was wondering which size value to choose on the zero stops, .250 MOA or .1 MIL RAD. My guess would be the .250 because I'm using the H58 not the MIL DOT, but I'm not sure. Thanks for your help, want to get this right.

Re: NF F1 question, zero stop values.

Do yourself a favour and search here for MOA vs MIL and make sure you really understand the difference before parting with your cash. We could give you the easy answer but in all honesty you really need to learn this in more depth than you have.

Re: NF F1 question, zero stop values.

It is generally a good idea to keep the turrets and the reticle in the same scale; however, it is not necessary. Remember, one mil equals approximately 3.6" at one hundred yards while one MOA equals approximately 1.05" at one hundred yards. You must keep this in mind when selecting a system that will work best for you. At least among other factors....

save yourself the headache and always use the same system in your turrets and reticle. if you were cutting a board, would you want to measure metric and then cut in standard? seems silly when you think about it doesn't it. try the math for yourself, it's always better to go with like adjustments and reticle

Re: NF F1 question, zero stop values.

I use MOA but if i was learning again i would recommend you go MILs but do not buy the Mildot. It looks cool but isn't practical unless you are LE or similar. Even then, there are far better reticles these days that have surpassed the original concept of the Mildot. NF has some great alternatives.
