Hi,

I am trying to compare the NP-R1 and MLR reticle in the Nightforce 5.5-22X. I am concerned with the line thickness, because most of what I do is shoot paper and other various targets.

According to NF's website, the NP-R1 has a line thickness of .062 MOA. I assume this is at max power even though they don't specify. In the same reticle document (see here) it shows the MLR as having a line thickness "at 22X" of .093 Mils. If my math is correct, that is approximately .320 MOA. That seems to be too thick. .335 MOA crosshairs would cover up a good portion of my .5 MOA targets that I like to use. Is this a typo in the NF Reticle Manual, or is it really that thick?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

And that explains my problem....knew it would be something dumb like that! Thanks!

Yep, I had to read that twice on my NF intructions before it sunk in. I guess my feeble mind was stuck on mil/mil.

Hoosier,

Hate to bring this to the top again, but the manual clearly states on Page 14 that the line thickness is ".093 Milradian at 22X"....can anybody confirm?

This seems very thick.
