Re: NF Turrents in MIL
The reticle not matching the adjustments does not make the reticle useless, nor does it make you holdovers any harder if you have an understanding of the relationship.
-print dope in mil/moa
-hold what you see for corrections
-log what you see in data book and adjust dope in both later
no "yikes" necessary, people were getting shit done with mil/moa scopes for a long time before anyone in the us did mil/mil.
Granted it isn't ideal, but I'm getting tired of folks acting like a quality mil/moa scope is junk. Trust me, a good mid-level mil/moa scope will knock the shit out of a cheap mil/mil scope any day.
And no matter what ANYONE says-folks with mil/mil that have shot for any time still convert in their head, consciously or not. Try estimating the speed of a mover without going to a linear conversion.
For the best possible results, gain a working understanding of all the information you can.

I do agree with mil reticle with mil turrets or moa reticle with moa turrets. Makes ranging your engagements a lot simpler. You can use a mil reticle with an moa turret as long as you don't mind converting one to the other. YIKES!

and really-FNG from OK-what the hell does matching turrets and adjustments have to do with ranging at all??
