Our January Lowlight suppressor-only match is open for registration for carbine and precision.

NHRPC.org - 589 MeetingHouse Rd, Gap, PA

Muster time: 1500 - You may check zero at all distances in the daylight on steel before the match starts.

Ammo required: 100 carbine, 60 precision

Carbine CoF: 200Y and under with most being CQB. White light highly recommended on the carbine.

Precision CoF: 200Y to 637Y. Will be posted.

Equipment: An NFA registered suppressor is required. Remember to bring your paperwork or LE credentials if applicable. Some type of non-white light for administrative use on the firing line to preserve night vision. NV equipment is welcome but not required! We illuminate the longer range targets with a very interesting variety of techniques. You are never shooting at a target you cannot clearly identify.

It's also a good idea to have a glowstick with you, and a GMRS radio if you are going to participate in these regularly. Some stages may require them.

OVERVIEW: Come on out and give this a try. It's the most fun you can have in the dark (with your clothes on). These are no longer members only. If you have shot with us before in the daylight you can come out and shoot these.

Online registration required.

Re: NHRPC LOWLIGHT SUPPRESSOR ONLY MATCH 1/5/13 GAP PA

sounds fun! what are the stages like?

it's carbine OR precision? not carbine AND precision?

targets steel or paper? how do you score them?

1 day match? how long does it typically last?

There are two CoF's. Depending on the size of the crowd, it is possible to shoot both. Sometimes we run it strictly as a "match" and other times it's more of a "shoot" and you can just practice with your equipment and tweak things.

We call anything like an M4 a Carbine, and anything like a Sniper Rifle Precision.

We typically shoot a couple rounds of movers all together at 200Y, then break apart into Carbine / Precision. Precision will fall back to the 600Y berm and engage steel either lit with the laser designator, or the blacklights & fluorescent paint out to 637Y.

Carbine guys always set up a complex CQB stage that usually offers a number of different lighting conditions and 10-15 targets and will take turns running through it with carbines and suppressed pistols.

It really is a great time.
