Was in a local bait shop/gun room this moring...found a NIB from 1973 540X remmy. Mint all papers and box and shipping recpit.Has a mint set of redfeild sights and there is not even wear marks on bolt looks for sure unfired. I think I could get it for 550-600 what do ya think?

That would be an excellent price. The early 540Xs had fully adjustable triggers that be can be tuned to be pretty sweet.
Though the stock cut is more suitable to juniors the butt can be extended.
They are VERY accurate rifles and I have passed mine to my son.
