I set up to sell at the local gun show this weekend to get rid of some junk that is just taking up space in my gun room. I didn't sell a lot of stuff but I did buy three nice guns.
First is a Walther UIT, it has a much heavier barrel than any other Walther I have owned or seen in the past. I also like the 2-stage trigger. I paid $475 for it. I took it to the range today and it shot one ragged hole at 50 yards with RWS R-50.
Second is one of the Wz-48 Polish training rifles that looks like a Mosin Nagant. It's fun to shoot and only cost me $125.
Third is Beretta 21-A. It was in the box and looks unfired, the guy said he got it for his wife but she couldn't pull the slide back to chamber the first round. I showed him the lever on the side that allows the barrel to tip up for loading but he said he still wanted to sell it. $200 for the pistol with 3 factory mags.
All in all a worthwhile show, which included having to listen to the miriad stories about 500-600 yard off hand shots on deer, .325 Super Magnums, and how the .257 STW is the greatest hunting round ever developed. One guy whipped out the Blue Book of Gun Values and tried to tell me one of my 40-X's was only worth $575 because it was drilled and tapped for a scope.
