Rifle Scopes night force elv adj

I just zeroed my new nightforce nxs scope. It has the zero stop option. I have only 19.6 mrad of elevation left. Rifle is a 700 with a 20° Badger base, zero is set at 100 yards. Is this about right. I know I will not have the full 27.3 mrad of elevation, but I assumed I would have a little more adjustment. Also should I have my rings spaced as far apart as possible on my rail. Right know I can move each ring out one notch to the furthest ends of the rail. Does it even make a difference. Thanks

How far do you plan to shoot?

That'll easily get a 308 out past 1k. And you still have hold over...

I am shooting a .308. 1000 yard is all I plan to shoot with this rig. Maybe push it to 1200.

You will have no problem getting to that with your elevation you have left. In addition, as mentioned above, you still have reticle hold over as well.

My NXS F1 and 20" 308 took 18.3Mils to get to 1300 yards on a KD range. IF you were to run out of elevation in the turrets, you still have quite a bit in the reticle to play with also.....but you should be fine.
