Ok guys, I'm new to the forum. I have a new Remington 700 5R in .308 that will host a Nightforce NXS 5.5x22x50. I see lots of posts recommending BO bases and rings no matter what brand of scope is being mounted. Then I see Burris scopes mounted in their bases and rings and the same for Leupold. Never have I seen Nightforce bases and rings mentioned anywhere in here for mounting any scope. Why is that? Are they junk and not worthy of mounting their namesake scopes in? Is Nightforce the actual mfgr of these units?

Re: Nightforce base and rings????

NF rings and bases are as good as the other brands mentioned and will serve you well. You wont heave any dramas with there stuff.

+1 They are on my recommended rings and base list whenever anyone asks. I use NF rings on both my F1s and they work great.

Re: Nightforce base and rings????

NF rings are good stuff. I spoke with their tech dept one time about the need to lap them, thinking I would have to. Told me they recommended I didn't. I know some do anyway, but if the manufacturer thinks they are that close in tolerance...that is comforting.

Night force Rings and Bases are what I provide when a turn key rifle is requested. The ring clamps are the best in the industry and the NF Ultras are the pinnacle of scope rings.
