1st NF scope, F1 w hi speed turrets, of course I took it to the range and zero'd the normal way (dialing), then came home prepared to move the w&e caps, and read the directions. Oops.
Am I ok loosening the turrets and locking down where I am or do I need to start over?
Stupid question I know but can't get my head around this, appreciate any help.
Thanks and Happy Memorial Day to all who served/sacrificed.

Re: Nightforce F1 HS stupid zero question

I don't understand your question ?

And really don't understand why you didn't do this on the firing line so you can confirm after... but:

Loosen the two screws front and back on the turret. Remove the Turret Cap... Underneath is the zero stop with 4 screws. Loosen those so they are all pretty much flush with the top of the clutch. Turn the clutch clockwise until it stops. Lightly tighten the 4 screws down. They only use 4 inch pounds.

Then, replace the cap on zero, seating it, and tighten the front and back screws .

The Windage is just loosen the caps, set to zero, tighten.

Re: Nightforce F1 HS stupid zero question

In laws are in town and I totally blew thru my allowed range time so I had to scoot or face the wrath. Poor choice I know but the alternative was much worse.

The manual says before zero'ing remove the turrets and dial to zero w a screwdriver, holding the clutch. I didn't.

Thanks LL.

Re: Nightforce F1 HS stupid zero question

You don't have to use the center screw inside.

You can simply dial the turrets to set zero, then remove the caps, and reset them to zero, as well setting the elevation zero stop in the process.

Rarely will I use the screw under the caps.

There are some great video's on the Nightforce website, have a look, they show just what LL typed out for you and should answer any questions you have.

Re: Nightforce F1 HS stupid zero question

Once you get the hang of setting the zero stop, there is really nothing to it, but leave that center screw alone. You don't have to do anything to it. And go light on the small hex screws. I am seen more than one guy on this forum mention that they had stripped the screw from putting too much torque on it.
