I am currently using my NXS for hunting. I have tried to adjust the brightness but it still overwhelms the target. I was hoping to get the crosshairs to just slightly illuminate. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it supposed to be this bright on its lowest setting?

I've dialed the illumination down on mine nearly all the way. It's just enough to offer the contrast I need in low light. It doesn't take much to go from nothing to full illumination with the adjustment screw. Go in small increments until you get it right. Once its adjusted you'll never need to touch it again.

Same here, a very small tweak on the adjustment make a big difference in the illumination.

I have been having computer problems but hopefully I have got it fixed now. Sorry for the delayed response. Thanks for the help. I am a little shaky and I must have just over turned the screw.
