Just doing the initial research. running it in the ab app its looking like somewhere in the 85 moa range. The nxs has 100 Im gonna test 300 hybrid otm 285 eld and warner tool 255s when i get going. But before i buy the scope and base just want to make sure. The scope is a deal so thats what im buying and On paper its a go. Just dont know about the base size. Also brand recommendations of bases needed its a 700 xcr it has the 8-40 screws looking at the 20moa leupold base. Thanks to all

At 85 MOA (24.7 mils) you app is giving you the approx. elevation which will vary depending on the load and atmospherics. A 20 MOA rail probably won't give you enough elevation without holding over. The NXS you are looking at a 30mm tube which will not provide enough elevation with a 20 MOA rail. For my 338LM using 285 ELD-M (MV approx 2,800fps) requires a 40 MOA rail with a S&B 5-25 PMII which has a 34mm tube.

You'll need the +40. Consider the DTA 6 screw model with level, or the Spuhr +44.4. My DTA with a NXS 5.5-22X56 in the DTA +40 mount has 96.5 MOA of come-up from it's suppressed .338LPM zero. Combined dialing and holding puts me at a max range of approximately 2,450 yds. at full magnification.
edit: I was suggesting a zero taper base and going with SPUHR/DTA 1 piece mount.
