Rifle Scopes Nightforce NXS reticle change

I've got an older NXS 5.5-22x56mm with the NP-1RR reticle that I bought used. It's pretty beat-up, but tracks great.

I'm planning to send it in and pay the $200 for a reticle change to NP-R1.

My thinking is the NP-R1 reticle would make it much easier to hold windage.

Any reason NOT to do this?

I have both the np-1rr and np-r1 reticles. Of the 2, the np-r1 is much more practical. Not to say that the np-1rr is bad, but I think you will enjoy the np-r1 better.

Absolutely do the NP-R1. After 20 years of long range, I have found it to be as good as it gets.

Called and got an RMA number today. Will be sending it in shortly.

I've also got a 5-15x50mm with the NP-R2 reticle that I was thinking about switching to NP-R1, but I figured I'd wait and see how the first one goes before I send it in.

I have the NPR1 and Its a good reticle, easy to use and really good for long range.

Did they give you a lead time on how long it would take to have it switched?
