Rifle Scopes NightForce rings

I am a newbie but I gotta ask. Why are they so expensive? Am I missing something?
You can get weaver style bases from burris Leupold tec etc etc for 30% of what these cost.

Are they better that the others?

all top quality rings are going to be upwards of $100

i currently have 3 sets of what most would call top rings, seekins, badger and nighforce

the finish and craftmans ship is the highest on the nightforce and seekins, little things like rounded corners packaging, and attention to detail are apparent.

i feel badger makes good stuff, but isnt as worried about the little things and attention to deal as other manufacutres

i would not hesitate one second to run nightforce rings, top quailty in my book

The diffrence is in the quality of manufacturing, the high end rings will not have issues holding zero in adverce conditions and areas of operations. They will also offer you true return to zero during removal and installation, and under heavy recoil especially with todays heavier tactical scopes. I do feel the nightforce and the near manufacturing are the best. The fit and finnish are first rate, also Richard Near is VERY good to deal with HIGHLY recomended for all his products!

I've never owned Nears but they sure sound great. I can, however, vouch for both Nightforce (DirectMount) and Seekins (34 mm low rings and 20 MOA base). Unless I need something else, Seekins will be my choice from now on.
