I really love my 7-35 ATACR but I despise the damn scope caps that rotate. Well I lost the clamp part of my eyepiece cap yesterday at a match somehow. Does anyone know where to get the clamp that this attaches to for the eyepiece? I’ve seen multiple vendors online have the cap for sale but nothing for the clamp and nothing stating the cap comes with the clamp so before I go pay $60 for this piece I already have I need to be sure.
Also on a secondary note, what are others doing for scope cap options on their Nightforce? The objective end is not a big deal cause I can get any food cap for that end but the eyepiece rotating is what drives me nots and I don’t think a fixed Variation would be any better cause the eyepiece rotates with the zoom.

I wanted some scope caps in a hurry for my Nightforce. After a quick look here, went with Tenebraex, but was incredibly underwhelmed when they arrived ...

They're marked 'Tactical Tough' but every time I see that, I think 'Tactical Tupperware'.

Trying to keep an open mind and see how they go in the long run, but in the meantime, I'll be trying Aadmount next time to compare.

Do you have an issue with the eyepiece cap spinning when you zoom in and out? That’s my biggest issue.

Yes, but because of the Tenebraex's adapter design, the cover itself can rotate around fairly easily, without messing up your diopter adjustment. There's a fairly audible click when this happens, which I'm not a fan of, but that's how it is.

Mine is on one of the older NXS models, which has 180 degrees travel from 3.5 to 15 power. This means that the open cap can be installed to travel from 3 o'clock to 9 o'clock, so it doesn't catch on the rifle at all. So theoretically, there's no need to move the lens cap position, unless it really bothers you not being able to see parallax or windage turrets in those positions, or the elevation turret when it's on about 6 x.

    Hope that makes sense! :)

I bought a factory NF eyepiece cap from EuroOptic and it came with both parts of it. They are made by Tenebraex so both should work fine.

While I do prefer AADMount caps, the NF/Tenebraex spinning design is perfect for the NF. I always have the eyecap on the right side of the optic regardless of magnification.
