If your shooting requires you turning the knobs past zero to get to your dope on the distance you're shooting yes. Unless you dont mind a miss on the first shot of the next string. They are just a set of screws you loosen and adjust, easy to do. Worth every penny, so are the high speed knobs.

When I bought my NXS it was ZS was on it and that was all that was available in the 5-22x50 I wanted. If I had a choice at the time I purchased it I would not have. But I am glad I did - nice feature. Easy to set up, and easier to use.
