Rifle Scopes Nightforce

I'm about to order my nightforce 3.5-15x50. I'm looking to see where you ordered yours from and how customer service was. Also I can't find a price better than $1483.00 so if anyone knows where they may also be a cheaper place.

Thats without zerostop right?

Just wondering, why did you pick the 50 over the 56?

Yea thats without the zero stop. I already have rings from my mk4 50mm so I was just going to get a 50mm so I didn't have to get new rings. Scope rings don't grow on trees

To be honest I don't even know what zero-stop is/means

Its just this like screw thing ( I think) that once you get your zero, you lock it, and no matter how far you brop your reticle you just crank the turret back and when it hits were your zero is it stops.
They call it the "zero stop"

Um, it you are runnin and gunnin then I could see how it is nice, but if thats not a big deal then I would pass.

Can you call the scope a "work expence" and wright it off at the end of the year?
Because if you can then I would go for it.

zero stop just seems like getting a door that closes, opposed to a door that swings both ways (ie: kitchen doors in restaurants)

sure, the swinging door will "close" but it will never be "shut".

having a zero stop on a scope is that "shut" door that wont open both ways, which is a feature i think just makes mechanical sense in any scope.

that is a great way of putting it. I never had a NF and bought my first one WITH a zero stop. It makes a lot of sense, especially when you don't remember to go back to zero after shooting long range. Now i just crank down until I hit my zero and the turret won't spin any more.

I'd spring for it if I were you.

get the zero stop. you can put it back to zero with your eyes closed

get the zero stop.....it will keep you from having to send the scope back later to NF to have it added.

I have 3 NXS's without the zero stop, but my next one will indeed have the zero stop. If you plan on shooting a bunch of different distances, I think the zero stop is essential.

Can you order zero stop on NXS 8-32X56? I just haven't seen one.

Are you sure the rings won't work with the 56mm objective? I have the 3.5-15X56ZS(zero stop) and love the thing. If you are going to be shooting out to different ranges dialing back to your zero will be a snap.

There is no need for a 56mm objective. the 50 will be fine.

Luke, if the higher powered scopes aren't required.... go for that one.

The 10x NightForce in Mil Mil will be one of my next scopes from them that I purchase.

No matter what one you chose, you'll not go wrong. Just make sure you get the one that suits you best.

I would wager that you couldn't tell me the difference between the 2 with the human eye. you might think you can, but it's been measured before with more accurate means than your eye.

If he has any size constraints in mind, the 56mm is overkill. Not to mention they are just ugly atop even a semi compact rig. You have to mount them too high and the precludes a good cheek weld without stacking crap on your stock to build up the comb.
