Looking to upgrade my range finder as my athlon midas has done ok out around 800 yards but I'm starting to find its limits on coyote and deer size animals much past 600. I've been looking at the higher end Sig kilos and the nikon black 4k as they seem to be the most popular before stepping up into the ballistic solution models and Terrapins. Also tossed around the idea of getting the 2400abs as I'd like to upgrade my ballistic solution system at some point but I'm on the fence with that configuration of gathering data. So if you guys were looking at the sig or nikon for ranging coyotes at say a max of 1000 and steel out to around 1500 which would you go with based on the hire say of their ranging capabilities? Or would you go with the 2400abs if you didn't already have a kestrel? Thanks

My shooting partner has been using the Nikon 4K for about 6 months now. It ranges power poles at 1700 yards....in the rain.

Several guys I shoot with use the nikon, it's a great rangefinder for its price point. Would be my choice for sub 500$ rangefinder or the leica 2400

Both have high % off lemon units (QC seems to be now days releegated to customer),but generaly Nikon 4K will easily best Sig2200MR any day and also offer a better glass

To each his own I’m impressed with the Nikon 4K compared to the Sig Kilos of the same price I am very impressed with fit and finish as well as glass quality. I It’s light weight and small! You can’t go wrong!
