Just so you know, there is no Statute of Limitations on that.
A citation is a court summons. Once a summons has been issued or charge has been true billed by a grand jury, the statute of limitations clock has ceased.
So, don't drive in or near that town again.
Of course, since it was referred to a collection agency, they may have changed traffic tickets to civil infractions. They have done that is quite a few places.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer, had radical surgery and haven't worked since 2019.

I told her that pic was from a pool I did in 2011.

Anyway, I have to pay them $104.02 to keep the government from stealing my truck and backhoe.

And the bitch on the phone was just as snotty and hateful as I was.
