    Just a large flushing sound.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korean television announces in a "special broadcast" that its leader Kim Jong Il has died in Pyongyang. He was 69.

    Re: No tears lost here.

Should have been dead long ago.

Now we'll probably send an "aid package" to help yet more people who want to kill us.

Don't celebrate too soon, you never know what might just happen. A country as volatile as North Korea with new leadership looking to legitimize their authority can be completely unpredictable. All hope for the best of course.

Sonny-boy may be desperate to prove to the leadership that he's his own man.

Really, Kimmy was (and Jr. is) at a Gonzo-grade, hallucinogen-fueled level of weird that defied adequate referential framing. Star Trek couldn't even do it justice.

Good. Maybe, he'll up the ante so we can end this 60 year circle jerk.

May not have to wait. Just heard S. Korea is on Crisis Alert, and Japan is prepating for trouble.

Team Bukakke Morns the loss of our Sponsor Kim Jong Il, we hope to have some of his Leisure Suits on display along with his trademark square oversized thick square glasses.

The mullet-topped whack job was cuckoo for cocoa puffs at a level that is incomprehensible. Hopefully for the people of North Korea, the country transitions to something better. But if Kim Jong Un is as unhinged as the rest of his family... get ready for decades of darkness to continue.

North Korea conducted at least one short-range missile test Monday, the same day it announced the death of leader Kim Jong Il, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported.

Two South Korean military officials said they couldn't immediately confirm the report, saying to do so would breach a policy of not commenting on intelligence matters.

Both said any firing would be part of a routine drill and have little relation to Kim Jong Il's death. They both spoke on condition of anonymity, citing policy.

Yonhap cited unidentified government and military officials as saying the test occurred off the east coast.

North Korea is urging its people to rally behind Kim Jong Il's young son and heir-apparent Kim Jong Un, as the world watches warily for signs of instability in a nation pursuing nuclear weapons.

South Korea has put its military on high alert against the North's 1.2 million-strong armed forces. President Barack Obama agreed by phone with South Korean President Lee Myung-bak to closely monitor developments.

North Korea is preparing for next year's 100th anniversary of the birth of its founder Kim Il Sung -- Kim Jong Il's father. The preparations include massive construction projects throughout the capital as part of Kim Jong Il's unfulfilled promise to bring prosperity to his people.

Yeah, NK is much "greener" than SK.

    Re: No tears lost here.

The US Defense Industry, has just announced they will be sending a delegation to North Korea to instill in his successor how the new rules of the game are to be played. Not wanting to lose valuable tax dollars, the rules have been relaxed, to wit, the following percentage change to engagement rule 187.5.1 "Where as the percentage of acceptable total human loss has been raised from 0.03 to 23.6%".

I heard he'd been IL for a while.

LOL! See they're not backwards, they're way ahead of the rest if us. We lost a visionary, that must be why we're on the same path...

He is just setting the tone. Proving to the world, and even himself that he can play the same game his Daddy did. Raise a ruckus in order to extract concessions.

The bigger question is how is he received?

    Good luck

I watched the 3 videos. It was really interesting! I got to see the 'Z' in 1992. It's a massively *ed up place. The "Potemkin Village" is just a joke.

and, my son is stationed at Camp Casey at the moment- timing couldn't have been worse. It always happens at Christmas time as to put people on alert during the holidays and 1/2 day schedules.

    Re: No tears lost here.

As I recall this Kim got 11 holes in one on his first round of golf. I am sure he got better at it with experience.
He also wrote like 5 books a day while he was a student. Quite a gifted man. I am sure this heir, who is in his 20's but already a 4 star general in the Army, will be a fine guide to the People's Socialist Revolution as were his father and grandfather.

But if they are determined to have another Kim be leader of their country, I nominate Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Kinda makes a statement about freedom vs slavery, doesnt it.

    Re: No tears lost here.

I was looking at some interesting facts. Evidently this douchebag was 70. He had his birth year altered from 1941 to 1942 to coincide with his fathers birth in 1912. It was some bullshit about celebrating achievements at the same time to maintain his grandeur or being a god.

I love the tale thats told in NK. Something about he was born on a mountain top, and brought down to lead the people.

    Whatever...

I mourn his death, about as much as i mourn a muffled fart
