Non-Benchrest 22LR Matches in Florida

I’m in the Fort Myers, FL area looking for some 22LR non-benchrest matches (22NLR/X, PRS, etc.)

Not seeing much on Practiscore so I’m assuming most are club, “outlaw” and/or word of mouth type of matches. So may be the reason I’m not finding them.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it!

Have you gone to look on the PRS website? PRS Rimfire Series Southeast region?
There are currently only two matches that I know of within a few hours of you.

I run one in Volusia at VCGC, called Swampland Precision. It’s on PRS website and on PractiScore under Volusia. Next match is a PRS22 regional qualifier, 3/22

Byron and Kim run a great match a little closer to you, called Dope Precision, in St. Cloud. Also on PRS website. They have a match this weekend, 3/15 and another in April that is another regional qualifier.

I’ve heard talk of something at Immokolee, but only talk and not confirmed by me. I’d expect that someone will try to fill the void in that area.

I did not and looks like I should have! I may have been too focused on NLR22 so thank you.

Immokolee is closer to me but that gun range...I dunno about. I tried to set up some pistol training there and they weren't very "responsive" That being said I would love for some one to fill the void as you mentioned.

I started out as NRL22 and ended up changing to PRS22. This region is heavily PRS and many like to compete in both CF and Rimfire.

As to Immokolee, they are good people there. And the demand for Rimfire action matches is there in South Florida too.

In the meantime, come shoot a match at Swampland Precision and/or Dope Precision. I believe that you will enjoy shooting at either place. We do get a few shooters from your area.

Thanks for the invite! Yes I've noticed not too much NRL22 around here which is fine. Happy to give a PRS a go.

I have a second home in Cape Coral and would also be interested in ARA and steel 22 matches.
