Non mag primers in a 223

I am in the process of loading for my 223 Savage bolt. I have been loading for rofles and handguns for a couple of years now, just not 223 yet. The powders I am going to use are BL-C(2) H335 and H4895. ( saving my Varget and RL15 for my 308) I have CCI 400 primers and see that the 2 ball powders show using a mag primer. What gives if I use a regular sr primer?

Generally the only thing I have found is I use a little more powder to get the same velocity.

I use Small Rifle Primers behind AA2460 pushing 69gr Noslers with no problems at all.

It all runs just fine in my AR and my dad's AR. The bolt gun will shoot them just dandy. You probably don't even have to drop the load back much unload you're already on the ragged pressure limits.

I have reloaded several thousands of rounds for my Bushmaster and Savage 12FV using H335 and regular CCI 400 primers. Never a problem or an issue.
