New guy here. Live in coastal GA currently, originally from GA but have also lived in a few other places. I’m soon to be retired military and LE as well. I love to hunt and shoot. Right now I shoot a lot in the 100-300 yardage range. There’s not much available longer than that regularly.

Savage 10FP 308 Win w/ 6-25x50 Vortex Crossfire II
Savage 111 338LM w/ 5-25x50 Vortex Viper PST in a PDC chassis
Remington 700 ADL 223 Rem w/ 4-16x50 Vortex Crossfire II
Howa 1500 300WM w/ Nikko (not Nikon) package scope. I’d like to put another scope on this rifle, but it works really well. Just can’t justify it right now. It’s a hunting rifle and shoots sub-MOA as is so I haven’t invested much else in it. Heck, I won the rifle/scope combo with a $20 raffle ticket from the RMEF.
I reload and have a few pet loads that have performed well in the 308 and 338 to 800 yards. I’d like to stretch the 338 out but the places locally that have the room won’t allow large magnum calibers.
I’m here to learn. I’m decent at manual range finding due to my career. I own a range finder that is decent to 600 yards. I don’t read wind well at all. The best I can do is tell a direction and read a kestrel.
I have a shooting partner but he and I are almost equals. He’s a tad more experienced in LR shooting and reloading. I’d love to find another guy to pair up with but LR shooting isn’t real common in our region.
Otherwise, my up coming projects include chassis setups for the 10FP and 700. Eventual scope upgrades for both of those and a trigger for the 700.
