...I helped a client put together a RND 2000 last year because he had to have an auto loading 338LM to go bear hunting...

...well, he went bear hunting last week and got a bear, but they wouldn't let him bring his RND 2000 over the boarder...(LoL!)...I don't even know what he ended up taking his baited bear with...

...anyways, how pissed off is he goona be when he sees that Noreen rifle hit the market...???...he is pretty obsessed with have the best of everything...

...to my eye, it appears the EDGE 200 retains some advantages, but as I have never actually seen either rife, I was curious to see if any actual expert opinions on the matter were available...

Re: Noreen VS RND 2000

An expert I certainly am not, but I have been looking into buying the RND platform for awhile now and there seems to be vast differences between these 2 rifles. The RND in any caliber size other than .223 is a completely custom platform based on a DGI system while the Noreen is piston driven. Because of its unique recoil system, the RND buttstocks are even removable for transport or storage. All of the components are top notch and basically made to order. I believe Rock barrels are the norm with others available on request. The platform even extends up to 50 BMG with all internals designed around the increased stresses.
