Here is my Norinco NDM-86 in 54R. Everything was still in the box and was all matching numbers. Rifle was never fired before I received it. May not be a tack driver like some of these other rifles, but it can still hold right around that even inch mark with the 7n1 pretty easily.

Re: Norinco NDM-86

I had so many chances at buying one of the those in the 1980's but for what ever reason I never did. I kick myself every time I see one. That is beautiful.

Re: Norinco NDM-86

Personally, I think that's a neat rifle. I got a chance to shoot a Norinco Tigr-thing in the '90's, and I thought it was about comparable to my 'loaded' M1A regarding accuracy. The owner complimented my marksmanship which I didn't really think was all that super that day. I think that tells me more about the owner than about the rifle, go figure...

There are a lot of accurate semi's available that are less dear and easier to obtain, and I don't like the chambering overly much.

For myself, I'd be much happier with a Saiga 100 .30-'06, but I can't seem to find any around right now. Be awhile before I could comfortably afford one anyway.

Re: Norinco NDM-86

It's one of the chinese copies of the russian SVD bi-pod made by Hexagon Products. A great purchase in my opinion for how it can help the accuracy, plus the ~50$ price tag verse the ~250$ price of a Russian made one is a sweet bonus too.

Re: Norinco NDM-86

I almost went with the .308 route just for how nice the accuracy is with them, but the collector inside me wanted the 54r version for it's better collectibility. Would still love to own another in .308 too now.

Re: Norinco NDM-86

I owned a PSL-54 Romak and I thought that was a very fun rifle. The ammo was cheap and it was great at plinking with that surplus ammo.I had to trade it in order to finance a new savage bolt action. Your rig is way cooler though, you should post some range pics.

Here you go. (It's NOT mine).
