Norma 202

I believe Norma 202 is the powder that Alliant used to import under the "Reloader 12" brand. Norma 202 is in the 4895 speed range. I used Reloader 12 many years ago. I remember it being a good powder in the 308 Win.

I would use current Norma reloading data for it, not the old Reloader 12 data.

I ordered 5lb of the N202 ,it appears to be the same powder as Rl12 and this is Normas load data compared to hodgdon load data for the 77 gr SMK
Maybe best for a 308 but looks good in the 223
In this day Ill take what I can, I should be able to sell it it does not work out
They also have data for 60 grain bullets

I was also intrigued by this powder. I wanted to try it for 77gSMKs,and saw it was available at Powder Valley recently, but couldn’t find much info on it. Well... I rolled the dice, & tested it today. I feel like it has great potential, & I was pleased. My velocities were not impressive, but I’m also running a 16” 1:8 twist. It shot a couple dime sized groups at 100yds, and the SDs were all just below 10. Will attach pics. I feel I may can bump up my load another couple tenths, but I did get the slightest ejector wipe on one of the three pieces of brass at my highest charge weight of 22.8g. Disclaimer: As always please don’t copy anyone’s load, but start low & work up, as your method & results may vary.

Any update on this load or idea of temp stability?

Haven’t played with it since. It was a little slower than I wanted, but hey, it shot pretty good, & with supplies difficult to find, it’ll go bang & will definitely work.

I need to get off my rear end, & try it with 69gSMks. Will update when I get around to it.
