I normally exclusively run Berger 130 grain VLD (target/match) in my 6.5 x 47 Lapua. Of course, they run about $.40-.45/ea., but give great results.

I'm seeing these Norma 130 grain Golden Target bullets at Mid-South Shooters for $133/500 ct. or about $.27/ea..

Has anybody had experience with these and how do they compare with the premium Berger VLD's? My rifle is sub 1/2 MOA and I don't want to go backwards.

Thanks for your replies and thoughts.

Pretty sure that is the factory bullet in the 6.5 cal Prime Ammo. It should shoot great. Might have to tweak your current load a bit.

I had great results with the Norma 130g golden target and Norma MRP in my 6.5 Creedmoor. Most of my groups were 3 bullets touching during my load development. This bullet is the one used by Prime in their ammo.

They have shot great for me. They do not have the same BC as the Bergers. Bergers are higher. So, for a quality practice round, they work well. not enough BC difference to notice until you get way out a ways.

I use these in both 6.5G and 6.5Creed.
