Northern MN checking in!

I have been interested in long range shooting for a while. I’ve done Appleseed in the past and really enjoyed rifle marksmanship. I’ve shot prairie dogs at quite some distance, 500+ yards. However, I want to do local competitions and be more than confident for hunting and as a hobby. I’ve wanted to do long range for a while, but just didn’t have a commitment to start. I recently made a trade and acquired this:

Ruger Predator .308
Vortex Diamondback Tactical 4-16
Magpul Hunter Stock w/ paracord sling
I’ve ordered a bipod and some extra mags. I’m replacing the scope with a Vortex PST GenII 5-25 MRAD. I’m also looking at a Garmin Xero C1 and a Kestrel. I don’t think I’d dive in this fast, but whatever dam was holding me back had burst! I’m looking forward to learning a lot here and contributing where I can. Thanks!

Not really "North" but Grant Cty tops out at 600yds. They will hopefully get to 1000yds in the next year or 2.

I’m all the way north! Roseau has a range that goes 1000+ and an active crew that shoots.
