Its twice the price of Remington brass. Is it twice as good? Does it last twice as long? </div></div>

Nosler brass is not twice as good, nor does it last twice as long. But Nosler brass takes way less than half the prep time, and the reject rate is zero.

It depends on your goal. If just banging steel, or tactical comps, are your bag, then Remington brass works just fine.

Is ultimate accuracy is your goal, then Nosler brass is better. It's less work, more uniform, less rejects, which all equals less time for greater overall accuracy.

You can make just as accurate loads with Rem brass. I just prefer to spend more time shooting and less time brass prepping to get to the same place.

IMHO, YMMV

Re: Nosler 260 Brass

im using rem brass now in my 260. after one loading at near minimun (36 gr n-150, 142 smk) i have a bunch of loose primer pockets. im going to buy nosler and work with them. i really wish i had used the "buy once cry once" modo.

I have not tried Nosler 260 brass, but I have worked up until the primer pockets got loose in; 19B, 223, 243, 257RAI, 260, 270, 7.62x39, 308, 8x57, 25acp, 32acp, 380. 9x19, 9x23, 40sw, 10mm, and 45acp.

I have cross sectioned allot brass to see the case head design.

With the same extractor groove dimensions and the same primer pocket size, and about the same internal volume, I would be real surprised if you can find one brand of brass that is so much harder that you can get 5% more power out of one brand over the other.

What does it all mean?
The problem is likely a hot load, not the brass.

Re: Nosler 260 Brass

max of n-150 is 39.9 in the serria manual
min is 35. i dont se how 36 would be a hot load but im fairly new so i could be wrong. ive read alot of folks have the same problem im having with rem brass.

i really dont want to go hotter as my gun shoots 1 inch group at 300 with the 36 gr. i just want to use my brass more than once with this load

Re: Nosler 260 Brass

I have heard that Nosler brass is not made by nosler...apparently they wont say who they get it from. The suggestion has been made that they are getting winchester and remington to make it then they are prepping it. This being the case if i were going to spend the money i would buy norma brass.

Re: Nosler 260 Brass

I've been running Winchester 7-08 brass through my 260 die and loading. I'm on my 7th firing with 46.5gr H4831 with a 142 SMK and the primer pockets are still nice and snug. Accuracy is such that I'm not even going to think about trying something different.
