Been running low on 130 Bergers so picked up some Nosler 123 CC at a deal ($124/500) to try in my 6.5x47.
They list the BC at .510.
My load for the Berger 130s is 41.7 g of H4350, so I decided to load the 123s at the same charge. Loaded 40 rounds and went to the range this morning.
I was pleasantly surprised. POI was 0.2 mil right and 0.1 mil high at 100 yds. I zeroed and shot a 0.6" 5 shot group, then shot at 300, 500 and 600 yds. The noslers shot under moa out to 500, and right at moa at 600. Wasn't able to go further (600 yd range). Wind was only about 3-4 mph, so can't say too much about wind drift vs the Berger.
What really surprised me was the poi was only 0.2 mils off the Bergers dope at 600. I did not have my chrono with me.
Think this will make an inexpensive substitute for the Bergers out to 5-600.
Give them a try if you get a chance - I am very happy with them. Especially given how hard the Bergers are to come by right now.
