Hunting & Fishing Nosler LR Accubonds

No so my beta is not reliable but the Accubond flew very well, but on moose, the thinner walls want to open quick and not drive as deep as the Partition. Did the moose know the difference, nope dead is dead but this is my experience and it is limited. Every bullet I have tried just does not compare to the Partition at driving deep, staying together ugly wound channel so yes I am bias but for a reason. For smaller body game like sheep and bou, the quick expansion not so much of an issue and may be preferred but for thicker body animals like goat, moose and bear, not my first choice.

And to add, I never tipped over an animal past 425 yards, average tip over shot was in the neighborhood of 275.

Very excited about the LR Accubonds. Big accubond fan--even on moose and bear. My father in law and I have both taken a few big bull moose with accubonds from a 338, mine were with the 250gr, his with 225gr. The 250's performed well on my buddies brown bear last fall--I provided a follow-shot for him and the accubond penetrated and held together very well. The few slugs I have recovered from moose and bear were found under the hide in the off-side shoulder area. I simply would not hesitate for a second using the accubonds on anything in America in the proper caliber and weight.

Think a lot of folks put the a Accubond in the same category as Nosler's ballistic tips which unfair. The accubonds truly do have much better design for weight retention and controlled expansion. Great bullet, hope the LR version only makes it even better.

I got my hands on the long awaited 210 Gr 30 cal accubond. I quickly loaded up some test loads for my HS Precision 300 RUM 26" barrel 1:10 twist. This rifle is phenomenal with Barnes 175 LRX and 200 LRX... consistent .5-.75" at a hundred 5 shot groups on a cool barrel. 2-3" at five hundred. This was my bench mark for comparison.
Frankly, I was not impressed with the accuracy. I have only had time to try two different loads (88 and 90 gr 0f H1000, 3.60 COL) and the best I could achieve was 1.5" at 100 yards. I am going to keep trying though.
They are in stock at a little shop in Idaho called 10X Tactical outfitters.
