Can anyone tell me what advantage the Noveske flash Suppressor offers? Does it help with shorter barrels? Does it act as a muzzle brake? Is it more effective than the Vortex flash hider?

Forgive me if this has come up in a previous topic, I couldn't find anything on it.

Re: Noveske Flash Hider

Check out Noveske's web sight. They direct the muzzle blast away from the shooter and provide some back pressure for cycling of the bolt on SBR's. It dosent seem to act as a flash hider or muzzle brake on my rifle.

Re: Noveske Flash Hider

When your in a building, or just alongside your teammates, it really cuts down on the felt concussion they feel from your SBR. No stinging on the face and all the other stuff that comes along with shooting a rifle indoors, unless they get in front of you. It's a huge difference. Muzzle rise is a little less, but I think that is from the weight of the muzzle device. The only draw back is you can't attach a suppressor to it. It's a nice unit and works as it should.
It directs the concussion so well, you will see the waves in the dust as your firing. You see it anyway with a rifle, but it's much more prominent with the KX3 attached.

It is not more effective than a vortec. The flash at night is incredible. The flaming pig is engraved on it for a reason.

I never had a problem with a SBR cycling. It worked with a standard flash hider or KX3 installed.

Re: Noveske Flash Hider

So it sounds like it is more for taming an SBR, and in some cases improving reliability. Thanks everyone, I think I will stick with the vortex on my sbr build and if I have any problems I may try a vx3.

Re: Noveske Flash Hider

I have one on a Noveske 6.8mm SBR upper. I was skeptical when I got it but after taking it to the range I am sold. It pushes everything forward and reduces muzzle rise. It is a well engineered product and I would recommend it for a SBR build.
