NP3 POF Advantage?

Is there any advantage to having the NP3 receiver, other than being able to signal aircraft, (jk)
Seems as though there are a lot more NP3 available vrs. the black.

Self lubricating properties and ease of cleaning seem to be the main selling points to NP3. It's also a very durable finish from what others have reported. No one has been disappointed in the finish from what I gather.

Whether its np3 or not, they all have the self lubricating finish on the internal bearing surfaces. The only advanatage i can see to having it on the outside is it wipes down easier and maybe doesnt scratch as easy?

It would be a good IR reflector with NVG's on.

Oh also you wouldn’t be able to see the goofy writing they some times put on their rifles. Mine says "Citizen Solder" on the side in small print.(POF told me its a limited edition Rifle because only 50 P308's say that. ha ha)

EDIT:Oops never mind, that’s written on the rail system so you would see that no matter what.

Im glad mine doesnt say that, I dont really like extra stuff like that.

I guess my larue says "live free or die" on the underside of the handguard. Thats new hampshires state motto, kinda cool maybe?

I have a NP3 bolt in my AR - LWRC A2. Love it. Clean-up - well let us say what clean up? Wipe it down and it is clean. I will own nothing else now since I have tried one ...
