Hello, as this is my first post after being a long time reader.
Just went to the NRA show this weekend and got to handle some really nice equipment. The Barrett 98 bravo and McMillan Tac 338 were the main reason for going and I left drooling. Only downside I forgot to take a camera, sorry guys. NRA was charging $10.00 to get in or $35.00 for a yr. It was packed with people. Benchmade had tons of knifes there and were all availible to try hands on, and then buy on the spot. Schmidt and Bender guys were ultra nice as well.
A new item there was a progressive .50 cal reloader for $2,000.00 I had never seen or even heard of, Looked like it weighed 250lbs. Eveyone was super friendly and allowed tons of hands on time. One booth had a thermal scope on a AR that was just over $9,000 and I asked him how it worked he powered it up and said here have a try. Lots of gifts given away from t-shirts to hats and other items.
I left knowing one thing, I will be ordering a 98 Bravo very soon. It was lighter then I expected and my fears on the magaizine being polymer and finish were put to rest.
Just hope the 1:10 twist is fast enough for the 300 SMK's. Seems a few are going to 9.4-9.75". What are your thoughts?
