If youre into LR or any type of shooting you should know about and support the NRA Whittington Center. Nicest place Ive been to shoot and the prices are very reasonable with on site housing and food. They have special camps for kids and all kinds of cool opportunities for hunts etc.

SH went there officially when several of us attended the provisional Spirit of America Match in September of 2002. We had us one heckuva week. We stayed in one of the hunting cabins, and it was a fabulous experience. Thanks again, LowLight!

It was my first time shooting past 300yd. It changed my life when I got to ring the Buffalo's Bell at 1KM on the Highpower Silhouette Range with the original 24" factory barreled .260 Ghost Dancer

I've spent some time in The Whittington Center's backcountry it is one amazing facility. Go if you get the chance. Don't expect much in the way of amenities (food/beverage,etc.) there or in nearby Raton be sure to bring your own...
