    Some where in the US
This past weekend (10/9-10/10) I took CKA's reloading classes 1 & 2. Also, class 3 Field load development. Before taking these classes I did some reading so that I would have an understanding of what I would be doing. CKA was very informative and covered a lot of information. He even gave advice as to what he has tried in the past for greater accuracy; what worked and what didn't work for him. The reloading classes gave me the confidence I was looking for to be able to reload ammunition.

The next day we went and did the Field Load Development class and CKA's range. He walk me through the different rounds I had made up the day before and what I should be looking for to gain greater accuracy. He was very informative; even gave pointers on breathing and how to grip the stock when pulling the trigger back to get more accuracy. This class gave me the confidence to test my loads and to get the most out of my rifle.

After we finished the load development part of the day it was time to shoot another golf ball. I had the opportunity to shoot a golf ball the week before with my .308 and it took 37 175gr and 13 155gr plama before I hit it. I was a little disappointed that it took so many rounds, so I wanted to try it again. This time I was shoot my 6.5x55 swede and my hand loads I hit the golf ball in 10 rounds of 140 gr A-MAX. This time was actually more challenging because the wind was shifting every shot.

I would suggest these classes to anyone who is new to reloading. If you take CKA reloading classes you'll have gain the knowledge on how to reload safely and also CKA years experience will help you out because of all of his knowledge he passes onto you. If you have been loading your own rounds and have found it takes a long time to develop a load for your rifle I would suggest CKA's reloading class #2 and the Field Load Development class. You can gain a tremendous amount of knowledge from these classes to help find out how to develop your loads quicker.

    Thanks CKA

    Jamie

Good review Jamie. Those sticks of yours are nice and you had a genius idea to get identical ones in different calibers so they look the same to the boss!

I couldn't agree more with your assessment of CKA's training, he is a wealth of information and has helped me tremendously.

Where is my board, I need to smack Curly around for calling me out........

    Re: NTRP Classes 1,2 & 3

I spent over a year an a half and a crap load of money trying to teach myself how to reload and make match grade ammo.

I met Jay with NTRP and spent one day with him, he had my factory rifle go from almost shooting moa to sub moa by just telling me to keep it simple, its a factory rifle, load to factory specs and go shoot.

Bug holes ever since. I just wish I would have met him before I spent so much money on stuff that didn't matter.

Good shooting Jamie, now you will see what those rifles of yours are capable of.

    Re: NTRP Classes 1,2 & 3

I think its amazing CKA and I started shooting long range about the same time, I mention to him that I needed to start reloading and he said I can teach you, so I started reloading too, we moved away from F Class into tactical matches, taken training together, we have fun, but Josh has something I don't have and that's the gift of teaching, he has taken all that knowledge put into something new that nobody else around us does, teaches how to reload, the basics of marksmanship, then combine those two together at a good price, the combo gives shooters the confidence to use there equipment, develop loads and hit there targets with the ammo they made themselfs.

Oh and Jamie has the two most beautiful sticks I have ever seen, both are TacOps 308/6.5-55 dressed out exactly the same, the fit and finish is awsome

    Re: NTRP Classes 1,2 & 3

Ive seen first hand the difference between thinking you know and really knowing. I also had an eye opening experience with NTRP. Jay showed me the simple things to make my loads consistant and perform well with my rifle. I would highly recommend a weekend with Jay to load and shoot. It will be worth your while.

Yeah sometimes I have more money than sense; other times I have no money and that gives me the sense not to buy expensive things. However, at least I was smart enough to have both look the same, so the wife only thinks I have one
