I know my Rem 700 in 308 with my IOR 2.5-10x42 I adjust my elevation 32 clicks, (3.2mils) to go from my 100 yrd zero to being good at 500. Is there a formula to figure out how much more adjustment I will need to go to say... 600, 700 800 and so on. Or do I just use ammo and experiment? My scope adjust .1milarad or 1cm per 100meters.

This is for MY gun, a 20" remmy shooting 178 amax at about 2570fps, it will not be perfect for YOUR gun, but will get you in the ball park with out dialing .5mil until you hit what ever it is you choose to aim at.

5.8 to 600
7.6 to 700
9.7 to 800

I am away from my rifle and data book, and I went from memory entering all the shit into Shooter app on my tablet. They might be off, so don't say shit if you're high/ low... I'm guessing you'll be about a mil high on all of em if you use my numbers...depending on what you're shooting and how fast its going.

Can I have my spoon back?

Kidding, hope it works out for you.

JBM is a ballistic calculator on the web that can really help quite a bit with problems like this. Check it out, and play for a while.

Yep, there is a formula.
But you have to know the following things, among others that I might forget:

1: Muzzle Velocity
2: Bullet Weight
3: Ballistic Coefficient of Bullet
4: Temperature
5: Relative Humidity
6: Altitude
7: Barometric Pressure
8: Barrel Length
9: Latitude and Longitude
10: Date of Birth
11: Mother's Maiden Name
12: Password
