I’ve got an NX8 1-8 with a battery issue, the issue being that the battery is always dead. I can understand that using the Illumination will only give 40 hours or so, but when I store the scope I turn it to the off positions, between illum settings or at zero, and it’s dead when I come back to it. Anyone have similar issues?

I have had my NX8 on the same battery now for almost exactly 1 year. Minimal illuminated use, so don't take this as a "the battery lasts this long..." post, but, the battery is just fine. I tend to nerd out over things, so I am replacing it (a thing I do yearly) with a Duracell Procell CR2032. It has 265 mah, which is notably more than others.

Thanks, I bought a bunch of batteries and am thinking that the batteries themselves are crap. I’ll look at them tomorrow. Also, I’ve learned that setting it to full off as opposed to between settings seems to do better.

I have never had an issue with my NX-8 using Energizer batteries - I usually keep it OFF between 5 and 6 or 6 and 7.

It has never just been 'dead' - the current battery only has minimal 'On' time since I changed it after the New Year, but at 4+ months it's still fine.

Try some legit new batteries and if it still has parasitic drain like that, I'd call NF.

This.

I leave mine all sorts of places on the dial, regarding in-between numbers. Should NOT drain. Mine hasn't in 1 year.
