This may be elementry but I have had a few questions on my beloved Sierra Match kings. The tips of the bullets are inconsistant and sometimes give me hell when seating bullets for a consistant OAL. I know sinclair makes a tip trimming tool to uniform them, but I just hate to spend the money. Anybody out there know any tricks to resolve this issue? Thanks for your time!

    Simple trick-don't worry about it.

Your seater die seats the bullets on the ogive, not the tip. Check the length of your ammo with a bullet comparator to see if you really have an issue with OAL. SMK's vary in length AND weight

You're very welcome Phillip. Use your time off to read the rules and figure out how to use the search function or the "back" button.
