OCW, confirm for me?

I had a proven load in 308win of 175smk,44.3 varget, 2.255 ol Winchester case. But the last batch of Winchester brass I bought was abysmal. So I switched to Lapua and did an ocw. But I set the bullet to mag length to start. The ol is 2.281 on these. All I did to the brass was chamfer the mouth a smidge then load. Charge weights are 43.8, 44.1, 44.4, 44.7, 45, 45.3 starting bottom left group, then next target straight up, then bottom right, top left, top right, center. The bottom center was my old load. Bottom shot on the 45 target, I pulled. They all seem to group in about the same spot from 44.1-45.3. Should I retest it to see if I get different results? If not, I was thinking 44.4-45 all looked decent.

I'm thinking the middle of your node is in the neighborhood of 44.7 - 44.8 grains.

I use 44.2 with the 175 and 178 grains in Lapua.

Shot these yesterday, the fliers were shots I flinched on. The first group was a seat depth of 2.28ol the second was 2.26ol. I had two more groupings at 2.27, 2.25 but they weren't as good as these two. I was thinking of going with the 2.26 load.

400yds with one charge each 44.3, 44.7, 45.1. I think I'm going with the load of 44.7grs varget 2.261ol

Luckily I found this, I went to reload more and forgot what the hell I came up with for a load. I must have thrown out my sheet from testing! Needless to say I hadn't been shooting much lately

I've been having great luck with the 175 SMK Varget 43.5gr COAL is 2.222" from the Ogive. Neck tension right at .002". Try that and see what happens.
