I'm having trouble reading this ocw, correct me if I'm wrong with an ocw I'm not shooting for groups I'm looking at the impact change of the groups to find the range in powder charges that do not move the poi. These were shot at 100 yards tl3, pva bottom barrel m24 24inch, 175smk all seat the same, br2 primers, 4064, federal cases. What am I looking at? All the groups loo to be hitting at the same spot. For reference I was aiming at the left side of the plaster split in half, the plasters are 3/4 inch. I shot 41 and 41.3 on another target to zero the new scope.

They all are shooting pretty damn well from 42.5-44 gr with minimal variation in group location so I would either move that target a few hundred yards further out or load 43.3/.4/.5/.6/.7/.8 to narrow down.
I‘d investigate 43.7 gr. Same location as the two charges on either side and all three group well.

100 yards, 25 inch Schneider, 175 SMK, CCI 200, I4064, FGMM 1X brass Rifle Target Numbers 41.5 is a great group. 41.2 will win number wise. Really 40.6 to 41.5 all are pretty good.

Some groups to compare with.
Typical 308 nodes are about 42 grains and about 43.2 grains in FC brass. You’ve Shot well and groups do show something.
That said, the low node will save brass. I suggest you try 43.3 to 43.9 on the high node.

I load 43.4 grains of IMR4064 in remington or Hornady brass with a OAL of 2.820 and it produces very similar results as you have posted. Currently, I‘m going on my 4th reload with my remington cases with no signs of any issues. I highly recommend 43.5 or 43.6 which will allow you the ability to load them on a progressive press if you’re in a pinch to make some ammo.
Your barrel like 175SMKs for sure lol. I'd be in the mid 43s myself if I was going to load based on that target. I like to verify with another trip to the range later.
I did not, I thought about putting the ms on but didn't for some reason. It doesn't seem to mess with either barrels I have, marksman 6.5x47 and the m24 308. I loaded up 30 at 43.6, I'll shoot them as soon as I can to see how they do.
A commercial hand loader told me years ago to pay close attention to the charge weight after you see a string. All of your groups around 43.4 are at 10-11 o'clock. I would stay there and get some groups out to 500 yards or so. Also need to start chronographing your shots.

He said he loaded up 30RDS to try at a certain charge. Hell he might be running some stupid high numbers at that charge.I had somebody tell me to try 44GRS of varget with a 175SMK in a 24 inch 308 barrel. I did and it shot great but was running 2850FPS and flattening primers.
I've ran a test before all the way up to 46 grains of 4064 with ejector Mark's at 45.8 and 46. I've got no pressure signs at the 43.6 I'm going to try. I'll update the thread with mv and pics of the brass when I'm able to get to the range.
Ok here is the results from 43.6, the chrono data only had 3 outliers at high 2726 ish and 2730 ish the rest were around 2745 out of 10 shots I'm happy with that. The groups are nothing to right home about, I tried a different rear bag as well as I forgot my muzzle brake. I know I can shoot better than this so I'm happy with it. The thing that perplexes me is the cb shot, its half a mil low and .2 to the right of the first group. I've shot 5 in one hole before but I usually can shoot .5 moa with no issues I definitely think the groups are my fault and not the load.
I know it's inconclusive, but if you look at the original target 43.4,.43.7 and 44 shot well and at the same poi. So you'd figure 43.6 should be well within the envelope. I'm going to role with this for a hundred rnds and see how it does
