Oh, count me in for sure. It's not like I'm planning to be someplace else...

But this time, I'm going to do a few things different. I think I've figured out the technique part, at least the part about knowing how and how not to really screw the pooch.

I think I've been obsessed with conserving the bore life and running the bore at minimum throttle. It's working for the bore, but it's not delivering the goods in the V-Ring.

I'm turning over a different leaf this time around.

Just finished two sets of new loads, 95's and Big Game, 120's and Hunter, closer to max, and with mag primers to cope with the cold. The loads are all at least .5gr below published max, and the temps are forecast for the low 30's. This barrel has always performed best at about 1/2gr below max, regardless of bullets; so this is just another experiment out there in the twilight zone.

Not tested; but this time of year, it's all a test anyway, the previous stuff has been other than ideal, and it's not like I'm gonna die of a broken heart if I don't conquer one and all...

Greg; There are days I feel like a blind swordsman on the firing line.

In addition to Zatoichi films, Toshiro Mifune appeared in some great Samurai movies. The 3 movies about Musashi and the all time favorite, The Seven Samurai.

I'm in for this week, due to the kindness of Scott to loan me a rifle. My scope is on it's way back, but I fear a lack of stock for replacement is going to keep my rifle out of action for a while.

No worries...

We may be doing this all thru the winter.

Our shooters spend only half the time allowed to shoot 20 rounds for each relay, so when the temp`s are a bit "low", we can always run to the clubhouse and hug the wood stove between relays.

Consider this...

Alot of big game season is spent "in the stand" for much more time not moving waiting for the quarry to come into range than we spend on a fixed distance target in our matches.

To further my point, consider that the fine folks at the Camillus Club have BR matches thru the winter as well.
