Ogive types

I am wondering if there is a direct corellation in ogive types and certain brands of rifle barrels and how they shoot. Or is every single rifle different in this way. For example do all remingtons chambered in .308 shoot a certain ogive type better or is each one different?

Most reamers cut the leade at 1.5 degrees. There are 3 basic types of ogives. Secant, Tangent, and Hybrid. One likes jump, ones like jammed, and the other doesn`t really matter.

I get that and was reading an article by Litz talking about how some leades are cut at different angles depending on the reamer used. I was just wondering if that could be brand specific or rifle specific. I was thinking that a company may use the same brand of reamer that would make their rifles prefer a certain ogive compared to another. Or maybe they use a one type of reamer on one model and another on others.

Reamers are usually ordered to a certain spec. The different factory rifle makers could all use the exact same spec for their reamers but I suspect there are minor differences. So yes one brand may prefer one type bullet.
