I have a new Mk6 1-6 with the CMR-W 5.56 reticle. I wanted to be able to use holdovers and wind holds out to 600 Yds in the future. The targets will be plates but I want as much accuracy as possible. I am trying to validate some math for the zero. Leupold says you need to zero @200 meters for the holds to work well. The range I have access to right now has a 200 yd limit. The info I have dug up says the drop for an M855 at 200 Yds is 3.2" at 200 meters it is 10.2". I figure I should zero at 7" below the mark at 200 yards. Is this correct or am I missing something? I understand that there are some deltas depending on velocity.
Thanks!

200 meters is approx. 218 yards.

A M855 projectile going 3000 fps will drop around 2.5" at 200 yards and 3.7" at 218 yards.

So, at 200 yards you should look to be about 1.25" or roughly 1/2 MOA high.
