So now im down to a complete spikes tactical m4 carbine..

Or a stag arms m4 carbine.. I think the model 2..

I don't know anything about stag arms but I've heard people saying their uppers are so so and lowers are decent..

I've heard spikes is getting a lot of good attention and are putting some good lowers and have decent uppers but I also heard stag is a partner in making spikes uppers.. Which are ok but not amazing..

So question is.. Should I go with a Stag Arms complete model 1 or model 2.. $980 including fee's out the door.

Or a spikes tactical M4 carbine LE? $800 + FFL and shipping fee's so around $950 (to be on the safe side) out the door of my local dealer..

I'm really wanting to go with the spikes tactical because I know a little more about them than I do stag. I don't know much about stag arms at all actually.. But I know that spikes has some pretty good lowers for their price range on the m4. Only thing is my local shop only has the stag arms complete rifle in store and the spikes tactical I will have to ship over and wait about 4 to 5 weeks on top of the 10 day wait period and pay for shipping and FFL fee's...

I sort have thought of doing a build and just buying a lower and upper of my choice but I don't feel like waiting for sales to come out then have them shipped and have my friend buy my lower due to me being 5 months short of 21...

I've never heard of such nonsense.

Also, if you plan on modifying it at all, I recommend building your own AR instead of buying one and then adding to it. Might as well get the better than stock parts right off the bat vs. paying for the same part twice. Most parts are in stock or on short term back order, so it really wouldn't delay you that much, especially in comparison to the wait you would have on the Spikes special order. The overall cost in the long run would still be cheaper. My .02

Re: Ok my 2 options..

dude, dont ask your friend to break the law, and for sure dont post the thought of it. but spikes or stag, both are decent really. i have an unfired spikes, a buddy bought 20 stag lowers. havent really heard any bad stuff on either

oh yeah, weird twist to the law. 18 rifle, 21 pistol. and i guess since a multi cal lower can be built into a pistol (cant it?) they make you be 21 for a bare lower or built even possibly

Re: Ok my 2 options..

I personally know the owners of Spikes so maybe I'm a little bias but their stuff is really nice. They're at the point where their AR's are as well built and reliable as most of the more expensive AR's out there. You will not be disappointed going with Spikes!

Oh... One other thing... Their Customer Service is some of the Best in the Industry!
